The chamomile plant originally hailing from Northwestern Europe, and should not be confused with German Chamomile. Its essential oil is prepared through the steam distillation of the flowers of the chamomile plant. This essential oil contains a very high quantity of chamazulene, an anti-inflammatory terpene that turns the oil a vivid blue.
